Sports are always a favorite past time for Simpson County residents. Wether supporting children, coaching or participating everyone plays a part.

Numerous state appearances and tiles along with District championships were achieved this year.  Several students signed letters of intent to play ball at the next level. 2021 was a great year for local student athletes.

MHS Girls placed in their first ever powerlifting Meet.

Mendenhall KK Walker signs with Pearl River Community College as Cheerleader.

Magee Football Team to receive Key to the City of Magee.

April 2021

Chandler Pittman award Mr. Football for 3A.

SCA JV Girls win District Track Meet.

Zack Jones named new Head Football Coach at Magee High School.

MHS Mens Track win District.

MS Senate and House Honor Magee High School Football Team.

The Simpson Academy boys 3200 relay team placed first in the district track meet.

MHS Jamaal Dinkins Wins State 3A Powerlifting.

MHS Track Team Advances to State. 

Co-Lin Announces 2021 Cheerleaders. 

Magee Baseball wins District.

SCA Girls Relay Team wins State.

SCA Williams win South State in Pole Vaulting.

Congratulations to the Simpson Academy high school archery team for winning the MAIS 4A State Championship in Archery.

May 2021

Sanders officially named Co-Lin’s head men’s basketball coach.

Trojans win State in Track.

Grimes signs with Millsaps to play football.

Hobbs Signs to play baseball with Tougaloo.

MHS Football Players receive State Championship rings.

Magee Baseball wins South State.

Trojans headed to State Championship game.

June 2021

Magee Baseball wins first game of State games.

Magee Baseball Finishes as State Runner up.

MHS has 3 athletes to make Baseball All-Star.

Brennon McNair named co-player of the year in 3A Baseball.
