Zackary Daniel Welch, 38, of Braxton, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 17, 2020. Zack was born on June 5, 1982, to Tommy and Kay Welch.
Zack was a well-loved and respected Assistant Superintendent for Progressive Pipeline. He prided himself in a job well done, and taught his employees to do the same, often telling them, “Always take pride in your work.” More than anything, he enjoyed working dirt on his bulldozer and tending to his cows with his daughter, Allie.
Zack is survived by his wife, Shay; daughters, Krista Brown and Allie Welch; son, Leon Brown; parents, Kay and Tommy Welch; and sister, Cindy Welch.

Visitation will be held at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, June 19, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at 9:00 AM at the family’s farm due to COVID-19 concerns, as well as his love for the outdoors and the farm. Brother Danny Powell and Brother Roger Lee will officiate. A private graveside service will follow at Jupiter Baptist Church Cemetery. Directions will be made available at Tutor Funeral Home for Saturday’s service.
