Jerry Wayne Everett, 73, of Braxton, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, January 14, 1947, in Braxton, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home  in Mendenhall, Mississippi.

Graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. at Braxton City Cemetery in Braxton, Mississippi. Dr. Don Patterson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

Mr. Everett was a member of Braxton Methodist Church.  He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend.  He enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, and cooking.  He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Lenwood Everett and Betty Lou Byrd Everett; one sister, Betty Lynn Blackwell.

Survivors include his two loving daughters, Michelle Barnett and husband, Rodney of Ruth and Jennifer Everett of Braxton; five grandchildren, Kristen Barnett, Anthony Thompson, Lane Barnett, Madison Barnett, and Cheyenne Everett; three great-grandchildren, Gracee Ham, Adalynn Barnett, and Adonis Ward; two sisters, Patricia Richmond and husband, James of Brookhaven and Judie Kay Garretson of Braxton; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
