William Sanders Price, 86, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Magee General Hospital in Magee, Mississippi. He was born Sunday, November 4, 1934, in Mendenhall, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 7, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Bro. Earl Clark will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401
Mr. Price was a member of First Baptist Church of Mendenhall. He served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He served our country in the United States Army. He enjoyed being a part of high school sports in filming football and basketball games for the Mendenhall Tigers and various other teams. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Henry Price, Sr. and Nannie Frances Craig Price; one grandson, William Stephenson Loftin; three sisters, Reba Price Wooten, Irene Price Shoemake, and Katherine Price; and one brother, Thomas Henry Price, Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-four years, Mary Alice Mangum Price of Mendenhall; three daughters, Tracy Paes and husband, Greg of Mendenhall, Terri Loftin and husband, Randy of Magee, and Toni Broadhead and husband, Andy of Mendenhall; six grandchildren, Janna Paes, Cambre Paes, Lindsey Hitchcock and husband, Blake, Mary Frances Priest and husband, Jaron, Nicholas Broadhead, and Price Broadhead; two great-grandchildren, Kennedy Hitchcock and Mary Adley Hitchcock; one sister, Bess Ponder of Brandon; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Broadhead, Price Broadhead, Jaron Priest, Blake Hitchcock, Neil Hitchcock, Douglas Shoemake. Honorary pallbearers will be Glyn Harris, Marshall Magee, John Paul Price, Perry Lee, Curtis McMillian, Tom Layton, James Crain, Steve Pruett, and Troy Greer.
