The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Ezekiel 36:26: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” God spoke to Ezekiel, one of His prophets of old, and gave Ezekiel these anointed Words to deliver to the children of Israel. If they repented and turned from their wicked ways and made Him the God of their lives, He would give them a new heart and spirit: a heart of love and a spirit of compassion. How wonderful to know that through the shedding of the blood of Jesus, we, too, can now have that same change in our heart and spirit. Let us not ignore that greatest of gifts we’ll ever receive: the gift of salvation. Amen!
