On July 29, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., the Magee Police Department conducted safety checkpoints throughout the city. These efforts led to the arrest of two individuals for driving under the influence. Officers arrested James Anthony Kennedy and later arrested Allison Craft. Both were charged with DUI.
Let me be clear, if you choose to drive impaired, you will go to jail. I don’t care who you are or where you’re from. If you’re worried about being posted, don’t drive through Magee impaired. Just recently, a young pregnant mother in Michigan lost her life in a parking lot because someone chose to drive under the influence. We will not tolerate that kind of recklessness in our city.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Driving under the influence is a choice. If you’re struggling and need help, call:
Mississippi Helpline: 1-877-210-8513
Region 8 Crisis Line: 1-877-657-4098
Help is available. Choose wisely.
