Trisha Byrd, Community Outreach Coordinator for the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency (MORA) was a guest speaker for Health Informatics & Health Science classes on October 22, 2020.  Mrs. Byrd is responsible for the coordination and management of events and campaigns that educate the public on organ, eye and tissue donation. Trish informed students that there are more than 13-hundred Mississippians waiting for organ transplants in the state. In an effort to increase the number of eligible donors, MORA has teamed up with the University of Mississippi Medical Center to raise awareness about Mississippi’s need for more organ transplants.
