The Scriptural passage for today is found in Luke 10:20: “Rejoice that your names are written in Heaven.” Blessed assurance for the Christian! Our names are written indelibly in the Lamb’s Book of Life the moment we give our lives to Jesus. Thank you, Lord, for your ultimate gift and sacrifice so that we might have eternal life with you. “Blessed assurance Jesus is mine. Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine. Heir of salvation, purchase of God….” I love the old hymn “Blessed Assurance.”
Let us be sure to spread and share the love, joy, and kindness we have in Jesus. In all the hustle and bustle, it’s more important now than ever to let the light of God shine through us. Be kind, humble, and gentle as you go about your day.
