Kimley Denise Layton, 62 of Mendenhall, Mississippi passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2022 at the Courtyard Nursing Home in McComb, Mississippi. She was born Tuesday, May 31, 1960 in Mendenhall, Mississippi.

 Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall.  A Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Bro. Kevin Walker will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401.

  Ms. Layton was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She loved her co-workers and friends, working as an R.N. Case Manager at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, and her neighbors in the Patrick Farms community in Pearl.  She loved animals always having dogs and cats that she adapted from the local animal shelter.

 She was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Layton of Mendenhall.

 Survivors include her one son, Kevin  Walker  (Heather) of Mendenhall, MS;  mother, Shirley  Layton of Mendenhall, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Mattie  Walker of Mendenhall, Allie  Walker of Mendenhall and Jack  Walker of Mendenhall;  one brother, Jay Layton of Mendenhall, MS;  two nephews, Chance  Layton of New Orleans and Dawson Layton of New Orleans.

 In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made memoriam to Care Animal Rescue and Adoption in Jackson.
