I have a praise report! My sweet little granddaughter has been given the news by her doctor in Birmingham today that her arthritis has gone into remission!!! Larkin is only 5 years old and was diagnosed over a year ago. The joint in her elbow would not allow the arm to straighten. Today, the doctor reported that she had almost full range of motion! The doctor will continue to monitor her close because some of the medicine she has taken and takes can cause liver problems. She did have elevated live enzymes today, but the doctor has his eyes closely on her blood count.
When this journey began, the first doctor put her in a cast at night every night for over a year. No change was seen. After seeing different doctors, the diagnosis was made…arthritis …our sweet little girl! She has been a trooper. The situation has not stopped her from doing any activity..and luckily she has not had a lot of pain.
Our hearts are overflowing with joy. I know this isn’t an end to a journey…just part of the path…but any encouragement makes me happy…and it sure makes my “baby” Breck a happy daddy! Breck and Carolyn have stood firm with finding out what the problem was. Carolyn has traveled back and forth to Birmingham from Montgomery to be sure the best is being done for their little girl.
Thank you Jesus. I know it is in His time that all things come together.
