Nora Delk Blakeney Henderson
(March 21, 1932 – February 7, 2022)

Nora Delk Blakeney Henderson, 89 of Taylorsville, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Monday, February 7, 2022, at the Asbury Hospice Home in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was born Monday, March 21, 1932, in Smith County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Special music will be performed by Janet Walters. The burial will follow in Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Brother Nathan Brown and Brother Kelly Tingle will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

Mrs. Nora was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.  She enjoyed making quilts, sewing; singing in the choir at church, but most of all spending time with her family.  She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband the father of her children, Billy Joe Blakeney; her second husband, George A. Henderson; one son, Kenneth Blakeney; father, Homer Brooks Delk; mother, Mattie Thornton Delk; and nine siblings.

Survivors include her son, Joe Keith Blakeney (Dede) of Taylorsville; daughters, Jennifer Blakeney Watkins (Eric) of Stringer, Laura Kay Blakeney Robertson (Al) of Taylorsville, Patty Blakeney Minter (Phillip) of Biloxi, and Lisa Blakeney Sanford (Mark) of Taylorsville; twenty-one grandchildren, fifty-two great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Billy Blakeney, Joe Blakeney, Jerrod Blakeney, Brad Robertson, Lee Barr, and Robert Barr.
