Magee defeated Seminary Saturday, April 28, 2018, by a score of 14-13 thanks to a walk off single by Brennon McNair. Magee was trailing 13-12 entering the bottom of the 7th inning. McNair singled on a 1-2 count allowing two runs to score to seal the victory for Trojans.
Magee captured the lead in the first inning when Seth Russell drew a walk, scoring one run. Magee scored 5 runs in the fifth inning. Jaden Chatman, Zack Teater, and Chandler Pittman each had RBI’s in the inning.
Seminary would tie things up in the sixth inning when an error scored a run.
Trojans had ten hits and Seminary six in a high scoring game. Timon Kennedy, Chatman, Mason Booth, and Pittman all managed hits for Magee. Pittman, Booth, Chatman, and Kennedy all had two hits to lead Magee.
Coach Eubanks stated the young guys really stepped up in Saturday’s victory.
The series is tied at 1-1. Magee will play at Seminary Monday, April 30, 2018 at 6:30. Eubanks is asking all to attend and support the guys.
