Mary Virginia Cole Craft
(September 7, 1941 – January 4, 2022)
Mary Virginia Cole Craft, 80 of Magee, Mississippi was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home at Magee General Hospital where she worked for 30 years.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 07, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Dry Creek Baptist Church at 1246 Dry Creek Road, Magee, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Dry Creek Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Dry Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Brother Joe Metts, and Jerry Craft will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Her many interests included traveling, talking on the phone with friends, and especially spending time with her family. She was well known as a terrific cook. She loved to work in her garden and share her harvest with others.
She was a longtime faithful member of Dry Creek Baptist Church. Her love of God and church family was evident through her devotion to serving others. She taught Sunday School and served on many committees through the years. She helped establish the Son Shiners Senior Citizens Group. She took great pleasure in planning trips and activities for them.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, mamaw, and GiGi to her special great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Craft; father, J.L. “Jake” Cole; mother, Nettie Shows Cole; sister-in-law, Peggy Cole; and nephew, Nick Cole.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Craft (Sandra) of Magee, MS; daughter, Karen Craft Brown (Mark) of Magee, MS; grandchildren, Jennifer Craft Bowen (Casey) of Magee, MS, Adrienne Brown Sanders (Zak) of Magee, MS, Maggie Craft Waters (Will) of Brandon, MS, and Jake Brown (Tatum) of Florence, MS; great grandchildren, Adley and Ford Sanders of Magee, MS, Elliott and Knox Bowen of Magee, MS; brother, Edwin Cole of Mendenhall, MS; sister, Charlotte Cole Ware (Paul) of Mize, MS; special friend, Cecil Toney of Magee, MS; and a host of nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Zak Sanders, Will Waters, Casey Bowen, Cory Cole, Jacob Ware, and Zachary Ware.
