Ella Frances Baugnon Obituary
Ella Frances Baugnon, 87, passed away on February 23, 2026, in Magee, MS. She was born on December 8, 1938, to her parents, Gus Rowell and Ruby Parrish Rowell, in Opp, Alabama.
Oh Mama, Granny, Ms Barney… How will I navigate life when the most constant thing that has ever been in it is now gone? You were my northern star. You taught me so many things, and I will try to live the rest of my life honoring you with these things. That love, kindness, and acceptance are always the best route to take. To keep laughter at the surface of everything, even when you want to cry. It’s ok if plan A doesn’t work out, and it probably won’t, but there are so many more. So Keep Going!
Anger is such a waste of energy, and it’s heavy to carry around. Let it go. Forgiveness is the key, even when it’s hard. You will feel so much better. Think before you speak, and sometimes saying nothing at all speaks volumes. There is strength in the silence. Love your people and those who come into your circle. A little bit of love goes a long way. Again, laughter… just keep laughing cause it’s all funny anyway.
Ella was survived by two sons, Billy Baugnon (Carol), Jean Baugnon, and one daughter, Melissa Jimenez (Leonard); one sister, Mary Stewart; and five grandchildren, Bill, Benjamin, Ella, Madison, and Ashlyn.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jackie Baugnon; brothers, Charles Rowell, Jack Rowell, Wendell Rowell; and sister, Mary Stewart.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
