Magee Improves Record to 11-7 and 4-2 in District Play

Magee improves record to 11-7 and 4-2 in district play after the weekend.
Friday night against Raleigh, Magee answered Raleigh’s first inning run with four of their own with leadoff Keshun Collier hitting a home run and a three RBI double by Tucker Sobczak. Magee had a big inning in second scoring seven more runs by RBI’s by Seth Russell and Landon Hayes. Raleigh answered in the top of third with two runs to make the  score 11-3. Magee scored in the bottom of third on hits from Seth Russell and Timon Kennedy. Raleigh would add two more in the top of fourth and score remained 13-5 until in the bottom of the fifth after another hit by Seth Russell.   Timon Kennedy  hit a walk-off homer to seal the huge win 15-5. Landon Hayes was the winning pitcher.  Multiple hitters were: Keshun collier(3), Seth Russell(4), Timon Kennedy(2).  Magee had 12 hits and 1 error.

Magee traveled to Mize on Saturday for another win. Magee scored two in the top of first inning led by a solo home run by Caleb Brown. Magee added another run in top of  the second when Seth Russell got a hit to score Josh Sanders who led the inning with a single. Mize scored in the bottom of the second to make the score 3-1. Magee answered back in the top of the third with three more runs with hits from Aimon Chisholm and Josh Sanders. No hits in the  fourth inning  for either team.  Magee had a big inning in the top of the  fifth when Caleb Brown  hit his second home run of the game scoring three after Landon Hayes and Josh Sanders had singles to lead off the inning. Seth Russell got on base.  Timon Kennedy  hit his fourth home run of the season making the score 11-1. Mize added two runs in the bottom of  the fifth making the score 11-3 after five innings. Magee scored two more in the top of the sixth with a double by Tucker Sobczak and two RBI single by Josh Sanders. Mize added a run in the bottom of sixth and three more in the bottom of seventh to make the  final score 13-7. Timon Kennedy was the winning pitcher.  Multiple hitters were: Caleb Brown(4), Aimon Chisholm(3), Tucker Sobczak(2), and Josh Sanders(4).
