My mother, Mary Ruth Horn Dickey, would have been 100 years old today! She loved having an April fool’s day birthday! One thing is for sure, I never forgot her birthday.
The morning sun made me think of my mama. She had a shining face…always a smile…and a kind word. As my sister Linda always says, “she loved unconditionally.” I was truly blessed to have supportive parents. My mother and daddy were such guiding forces in my life. My dad died at age 55. At the time, I didn’t realize how young he was! My mother lived into her eighties.
Here’s to you sweet mama…I miss you every day and thank God you were my mama!
Smile today…laugh…enjoy life…that’s what my mama would desire…and think about your mama!
