The city of Magee experienced several visitors over the weekend as the sports complex is where all the action was taking place.
Dixie Youth State Baseball tournaments were being played on the boys fields as well as Dixie Youth State Softball Tournaments on the girls fields.
Magee 10 year old boys won last week in Mendenhall to advance to the state tournament.
The boys were off to a slow start as the lost Friday night to Mendenhall. Saturday, they would fight in the loser bracket to win against Taylorsville. The next game was scheduled for Saturday night at 7 but mother nature would have a say and games were postpone to Sunday due to rain. Before game was called the boys were leading 1-0. Sunday the game would continue against Jasper and Magee would fall short 6-5. With this loss Magee was eliminated from the tournament.
The boys played some hard games and never gave up. We are very proud of the job they did.
