Lilly Andrews Shannon Grubbs, 97, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, June 13, 1923, in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Graveside Funeral Service will be held Sunday, August 16, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Grubbs Family Cemetery in Mendenhall. Bro. Rodney Anderson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401
Mrs. Grubbs was a member of First Baptist Church of Mendenhall. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was very active in the Pink Ladies at Simpson General Hospital. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Brinson Grubbs, Sr.; parents, Earl Shannon, Sr. and Lilly Andrews Shannon; one son, George Brinson Grubbs, Jr.; one granddaughter, Jimmie Rebecca Grubbs; one brother, Earl Shannon, Jr.; and one sister, Rose Mary Kerr.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Cheryl Pansano and her husband, Whitney of Mendenhall; one daughter-in-law, Lynne Smith Grubbs; five grandchildren, Chris Caughman and wife, Melissa of Mendenhall, Chantell Caughman Miles and husband, Billy of Richardson, TX, Leslee Grubbs Brock and husband Darryl of Summit, MS, and Shannon Grubbs of Ellisville, and Jason Grubbs and wife, Minette of Calhoun, LA; nine great-grandchildren, Cade Caughman, Abby Caughman, Bryce Caughman, Baden Miles, McKenzie Brock, Sarah Brock, Jenna Brock, George Bennett Grubbs, and Moie Grubbs; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Cade Caughman, Bryce Caughman, Darryl Brock, Baden Miles, Billy Miles, Andy Broadhead, Wesley Broadhead, and Chris Williams.
