69.60.37.224 . Leslie was from the Magee Area and went to Magee High School and was a member of Coat Baptist Church in his youth and college.

Leslie Ivan Hughes, 63, of Calhoun City, passed away on January 14, 2024, at Baptist Nursing Home-Calhoun City.
Leslie was born on June 19, 1960, to the late Charles Elmer and Eva Lois Martin Hughes in Magee, MS.
He was the Dean of Learning Resources at East Central Community College until his retirement. He had also served as Music Minister at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Leslie was an active member of the Clarke College Alumni Association and was an alumnus of both the University of Southern Mississippi and Mississippi State University. He was a member of Duncan Hill Baptist Church and was also an active member of Clarke-Venable Baptist Church for the past twenty years.

Leslie is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Liddia Ramsey Hughes of Calhoun City; his son Brandon (Hanna) Hughes; brothers: Robert Hughes, Bert (Robyn) Hughes, and Charles Hughes, Jr.; grandchildren: Jonathan Hughes and Samuel Hughes; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Leslie is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 19, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce.

Visitation will also be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Clark-Venable Baptist Church at 362 W Broad St, Decatur, MS 39327 with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at Clarke-Venable Baptist Church.

The family request memorials be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Parker Memorial Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hughes family and ask that you keep them in your prayers during this difficult time.
