Died: February 21, 2016
Funeral services for Mrs. Kathy May Fortenberry will be conducted Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 4:00 pm at the Christian Life Fellowship with Bro. Clayborn Huff and Bro. James Fortenberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Christian Life Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest. 


Visitation will be Tuesday one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. 


Kathy May Fortenberry was born March 30, 1952 in Magee, MS to her parents, the late Hilliard Eallie and Barbara Nell Moore May. She passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at her home at the age of 63. 


Mrs. Kathy was a woman of faith, family and friends. She loved her Lord and her family at Christian Life Fellowship. Her grandchildren were very special to her also, she loved them very much. As a former member of a quartet, she enjoyed singing praises to her Savior, Jesus Christ. A former employee of Raytheon, doing yard work was a favorite pass time. 


She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother: Eugene May.

Survivors include her husband of over 45 years: Robert Fortenberry of Forest; three children: Eric (Theresa) Fortenberry of Forest; Sissy (Clayborn) Huff of Forest; Susan (Will) Bryant of Raleigh; ten grandchildren: Clay Huff, Faith Huff, Hope Huff, Charity Huff, Katherine Fortenberry, Joy Huff, Allyson Fortenberry, Allen Fortenberry, Asher Powell, and Addison Bryant; two sisters: Judy (H.B.) Floyd and Dovie (Bruce) Hall, both of Magee; and two brothers: Leon (Mary) May of Magee and Lloyd (Teresa) May of Forest; one sister-in-law: Joyce May of Magee.
