Jones College and WDAM-TV honor Top of Class 2022

ELLISVILLE- Jones College recently hosted WDAM-TV’s annual Top of Class recognition program, honoring the Valedictorian and Salutatorians from 45 high schools in the Pine Belt. Magee High School Valedictorian Mackenzye Yates and Salutatorian Alyssa Payne participated in this year’s celebration at Jones College.

WDAM-TV news/weather personalities, Patrick Bigbie, Karrie Leggett-Brown, Ryan Mahan, Brandi McGill, and Vanessa Pacheco were able to pose for photos with the area’s valedictorians and salutatorians before duty called. The group of nearly 100 high school students were celebrated with a day of entertainment, speakers and breakfast.

The WDAM-TV production crew videotaped the event to be featured during WDAM-Sunrise at 5:58 a.m., beginning May 16, through June 17, and on the WDAM-TV webpage. WDAM-TV and Jones College are sponsors of this event which honors the academic achievements of the Pine Belt’s top students.
