Ilda Mae Taylor passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 3, 1942, to her parents, the late Hillman B. Miller and Myrtle (Cook) Miller.

Mrs. Ilda taught in the public school system for over 30 years before retiring. She touched numerous lives through her career. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. More than anything else, she adored and cherished caring and spending time with her family.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her children; Sherry and Van Cody, Amanda and Rocky Welch, Rebecca and Darrell Chappell, Cathy and Johnny Dollar, Joy Taylor, Johnny Taylor, Frank and Katrina Taylor, Brennan and Jackie Taylor; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; brother, H.B. and Virginia Miller and nephew, Alex Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Ralph A. (Sonny) Taylor.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Main Street Baptist Church in Mendenhall, MS from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be on Friday, January 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Main Street Baptist Church with visitation from 1:00 pm until beginning of service. Interment will follow in Mendenhall City Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
