Magee’s Mayor Dale Berry was injured in an accident a few days ago ad suffered injuries to both arms. Dale was attempting to retrive a post hole digger and lost his balance falling on some equipment.

According to Dale’s wife, Keilah, Dale had surgery Thursday.
Below is the information I received from Keilah:

Dr. Field, Mississippi Sports Medicine, said Dale’s surgery went great!

Broken right humerus. Now in a sling.

Broken left elbow. Now in a splint.

He will stay the night at the hospital. And tomorrow (Friday) we will be headed home to Magee!

Thanks so much for all the prayers, calls and text messages. (Keilah)

Let’s keep the prayers going for our Mayor. Dale and Keilah have a rough road ahead.

Alderman Whitney Baker acted as “Miss Mayor” at Thursday night’s board meeting.  Whitney serves as acting Mayor when Dale is unable to attend a board meeting.
