By James Davis
The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord.” The early Christians were assured by the apostle that the covenant they established with God when they accepted Jesus as their personal Savior entitled them to eternal life with Him. For those who choose not to accept God’s gift will experience eternal separation from Him. We all commit sin; however, when we’re in relationship with God and strive to keep His commandments, we enjoy a daily exchange with Him, and the communion is sweet. As the old hymn “In the Garden” tells us: “And He walks with me, and He talks with me. And He tells me I am His own. And the joy we share as we tarry there none other has ever known.” Draw close to God, and He’ll draw close to you. Amen!
Happy Saturday! Share God’s love with others. Do not hide your light. Let it shine. Let it shine. Let it shine.
