Erma Dell “Yank” Jones Weathersby, 93 of Taylorsville, MS went to her heavenly home on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at the Claiborne Assisted Living in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born Saturday, December 20, 1930 in Taylorsville, MS.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 10:00am until 11:00am at First Baptist Church, Welcome Street, Taylorsville, MS. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11:30am at Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, MS. Bro. Jamie Dennis will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl “Buddy” Weathersby; father, Barney Jones; mother, Jewel Mathews Jones; brothers, Houston Jones, Robert Lee Jones and Randall Jones; sister, Joyce Lowery.

She is survived by her son, Nathan Bankston; daughters, Pam Powell (Ronnie) and Jan Jones (Dennis); grandchildren, Chris Jones (Shylah), Josh Jones, Wesley Powell (Amanda) and Stephanie Powell; 7 great grandkids; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Powell, Chris Jones, Josh Jones, Randy Lowery, Danny Lowery, and Doyle Jones.

Honorary pallbearer will be Don Jones.
