Emily McWilliams, 47, passed away on September 20, 2023, at her residence. Emily was born on March 21, 1976, in Laurel, MS.
Emily was beloved by many for her love of animals. She enjoyed going to the beach and the peacefulness it brought her. She also had a love of flowers, working with them, receiving them and the sheer beauty of them. She was also known for her great cooking skills and cooking for her family. Her absence will leave a hole in the hearts of her family.
Emily is survived by her parents, Shirley and John Curtis; boyfriend, Stephen Blair; son, Cody McWilliams (Chris Parham); daughter, Ashley Blissard (Gary); brother, Tommy Corley (Valerie); sister, Malissa Garner (Stacey); and grandchild, Blaire Blissard.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Salem Baptist Church, Raleigh, MS, on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The service will take place on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Salem Baptist Church with Bro. Stevie Hand officiating the service. Interment will follow at New Liberty Landmark Baptist Church Cemetery.
