FLOWOOD, MS, September 24, 2018– Jackson Healthcare for Women today announced Dr. Chad E. Cooley, obstetrician/gynecologist (ob/gyn), will see patients at 300 Third Avenue Southeast in Magee, Miss.
Dr. Cooley will see patients on the first and third Wednesday morning of each month for ob/gyn services, same-day surgery, and minimally invasive surgery.
“Dr. Cooley is trusted and respected by his patients for his knowledge, experience, and compassion as well as his clinical skill set,” said Dr. Darden North, chairperson of the board, Jackson Healthcare for Women. “We look forward to sharing the high-quality care he delivers in our community to patients in Magee, where recently, convenient ob/gyn care has not been available to local women.”

Jake Mills Obstetrics and Gynecology Award, UMMC Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident Teaching Award, University Associates Obstetrics Award,
and is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has also published research on congenital rubella syndrome and sickle cell disease in pregnancy: maternal morbidity and mortality.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to open access to ob/gyn care in Magee,” said Dr. Chad E. Cooley. “When women can form a long-standing relationship with a healthcare provider they are more likely to keep their health in check, utilize the healthcare system appropriately, seek preventive care, and follow their prescribed continuum of care. My goal for my new clinic in Magee is to generate these types of positive outcomes.”

Dr. Cooley completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology and graduated cum laude from William Carey University. Cooley completed his Doctor of Medicine and residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He served the Jackson Free Clinic as a student doctor volunteer, the TAR WARS campaign as a student teacher, and the Mississippi State Medical Association as a student representative, among other endeavors.

Dr. Cooley’s career experience as a nurse motivated him to advance his role in patient care and become a physician. He has won numerous awards, including the
