Tyler presenting plaque to the Maddoxs
Mayor Mark Grubbs and Evan Jones, Zoning Director

Wednesday morning at 9 a.m., the Magee Chamber of Commerce gathered for a ribbon cutting to welcome Maddox Designs as a new member of the Chamber.

Lee and Kim Maddox, along with their daughter, Emelia, are all involved in Maddox Designs—and let me tell you, this is one talented family! When I first saw the name of their business, I was glad it said Designs—plural—because there truly isn’t much this crew can’t do!

From beautifully decorating Christmas trees and creating gorgeous door wreaths to, of course, Kim’s famous macarons, Maddox Designs offers a little bit of everything. And now, Kim is sharing her talents with others by teaching macaron-making and decorating classes.

“I love Magee, and this is the only place I want to be,” Kim stated.

There is certainly no question about the Maddox family’s love for Magee. Kim and Lee are involved in so many projects and activities throughout our community. Lee, in particular, has been instrumental in decorating the city for Christmas. When others were ready to give up, Lee kept pushing forward and making sure the job was done.

These two show their love for our city not just through their words, but through their actions. They are involved in clubs, community projects, city activities, church activities  and just about anything that helps make Magee a better place.

That kind of commitment is exactly what makes a community special—and we are so happy to have the Maddox family and Maddox Designs as part of the Magee Chamber of Commerce!

Chamber President Tyler Cheramie presented the Maddox family with a plaque welcoming their business to the Magee Chamber. Following the ribbon cutting, everyone gathered in the Chamber office for refreshments—and, of course, everyone got to sample Kim’s famous macarons!

Let me just say…those macarons alone are worth celebrating!

Welcome to the Magee Chamber, Maddox Designs! We are proud to have you as a member and look forward to watching this talented family continue to share their gifts with our community.
