Cleo Elizabeth Howell
(June 4, 1939 – January 3, 2016)
Cleo Elizabeth Reed Howell, 76, of Mize, MS passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Mississippi Care Center in Raleigh.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 2:00pm at Mize First Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Mize Cemetery. Bro. Tony Keyes and Bro. Buddy Keyes will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2016, from 5:00 until 8:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. There will also be visitation on Wednesday from 12 until service time at Mize First Baptist Church.
After retirement from the Health Department, Cleo continued to fulfill her love for helping others at Rolling Acres Retirement Home. She was always known for her warm smile and sweet spirit. Cleo was a dedicated member of Mize First Baptist Church, where she was faithful in her love for the Lord and her church family. She will be greatly missed by so many, but none more than her family, which was her greatest love of all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Reed, Sr. and Gladys Reed; and a brother, George Reed.
Survivors include son, Reed Howell (Priscilla), Mize; daughter, Bernardine Mashburn (Lewis), Magee; brothers, Ray Reed and Clifton Reed, Jr.; grandchildren, Laine Stubbs (Eric), Lee Mashburn, Barrett Howell, Brooks Howell, Dustin Howell (Chloe); great grandchildren, Annelese Howell and Everly Howell.
Pallbearers are Matthew Reed, Barrett Howell, Brooks Howell, Lee Mashburn, Evan Sullivan, Prentiss Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers, Dustin Howell and Eric Stubbs.
