William Calvin Blair

February 22, 1955 – May 11, 2022

Calvin Blair, 67 of Magee, MS went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Magee General Hospital, while surrounded by family and friends.
Calvin was born February 22, 1955 to Will A. Blair and Murlene (Butler) Blair. He married his sweetheart and love of his life, Debbie (Smith) Blair in 1976. They had three children; Amy (Justin) Mullins, Joseph Blair (Holly), and Adam (Leslie) Blair.
He was an active member and deacon at Corinth Baptist Church for over 50 years. He held several leadership positions within the church, but the ones that were most meaningful to him were the ones that involved the children and youth. He and his wife were leaders of the youth group in the 1980’s and he led the Royal Ambassador’s (RA’s) for over 25 years. He touched the lives of many young men though the RA program and led many to Christ. He felt it to be a true honor to be a mentor in this program and later was able to serve along side his own son, Adam, in the program.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, brother Malcom, sister-in-law Brenda Blair and brother-in-law Danny Smith.
He is survived by wife Debbie, daughter Amy (Justin) and sons Joseph (Holly) and Adam (Leslie); grandchildren Macie West, Ty West, Kyleigh Blair, Kolton Blair, Fisher Blair, Kennedy Blair and Willa Fayte Blair; brother David Blair and sister Gayle Alvarez; in-laws J.C. (Lisa) Smith, Frank Smith (Rachelle), Sheila Smith, Greg Smith (Tamara) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Arrangements are in the care of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Wake at Colonial Chapel is on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Wake at Corinth Baptist Church will be Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm with the funeral at 2:00pm. Bro. Jerry Winn , Bro. Jay Wesbrook, Bro. Adam Wyatt , and Jonathan Burnham will officiate. Graveside to follow at the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Adam Blair, Joseph Blair, Ty West, Justin Smith, Jesse Alvarez and Stephen Blair.
Honorary pallbearers are Kolton Blair, Fisher Blair and Corinth RA’s.
