(March 27, 1951 – March 3, 2022)

            Brenda Parker Brown, 70 of Taylorsville, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Thursday, March 03, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Mize, Mississippi. She was born on Tuesday, March 27, 1951, in Soso, Mississippi.

            Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 05, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 113 Front Street, Taylorsville, Mississippi.

            Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Brother Ovee Cornell will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

            Mrs. Brenda was a member of Old Bay Springs United Methodist Church of Taylorsville, Mississippi.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.  She was a member of the Eastern Star.  She enjoyed traveling, watching her grands play sports, seating on the porch enjoying the outdoors, and most of all spending time with her family.  She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

            She was preceded in death by her father, JC Parker; mother, Mildred Wilson Parker; brothers, Joe Parker, Johnny Ray Parker, Billy Parker, and her twin brother Basil Parker.

            Survivors include her loving husband of forty-four years, Truitt Brown of Taylorsville; son, Barkley Brown of Taylorsville; daughter, Bethany Robinson (Jim Bob) of Mize; grandchildren, Tristyn Brown of Taylorsville,  Axyl Davis of Mize, and Ace Robinson of Mize.

            Pallbearers will be Keith Parker, Greg Parker, Bret Parker, Tristyn Brown, Derek Hosey, and Tim Wilson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Adron Brown, Jody Blakeney, and Dylan Hollingsworth.
