Beverly M. Lyons, 69, passed away on October 18, 2026, at UMMC in Jackson, MS. She was born on August 13, 1957, to James Bevert McBay and Paula Jean Finch McBay, in Bay Springs, MS.
Along with her parents, James Bevert McBay and Paula Jean Finch McBay, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Adam Vanderford.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Don Lyons; sister, Cindi Balius; niece, Clair Balius; nephew, Justin Vanderford (Katrina); great niece, Heidi Vanderford; and great nephews, Bennett Vanderford and Jake Vanderford.
Beverly had a love for shopping. She especially loved thrifting and going to flea markets. Her passion for Lyons’ Auction was like none other. She also enjoyed fishing with her husband, Don. Beverly was truly dedicated to her job. She worked for the Mississippi Department of Human Services for over twenty years. She had such a kind spirit and would light up any room she entered. Her niece, nephew, great-niece, and nephews all held a special place in her heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held at Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery, in Mendenhall, MS, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 11 AM.
