At approximately 4 PM Thursday, April 14, 2016, a car traveling north on 49 collided with a Gold Buick. According to witnesses, the Buick entered highway 49 from Goodwater Church Road without yielding to traffic. A white Dodge Charger traveling on highway 49 north hit the Buick causing the charger to spin and make contact with a truck sitting on Goodwater Road waiting to enter the highway. 
Occupants of the Buick were extracted by the jaws of life. Multiple people were transported to local hospital. The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.
The wreck caused highway and frontage road traffic to back up for a lengthy period of time.
In this location, another wreck happened about a month ago.
