Keep the umbrella handy today, Simpson County! Expect a mix of clouds, scattered showers, and thunderstorms throughout the day. Some storms could produce heavy rainfall, leading to localized flooding in low-lying and poor-drainage areas. A Flood Watch remains in effect through 7:00 p.m.

  • 🌡️ High near 83–87°F
  • ⛈️ Best chance for storms: Late morning through the afternoon
  • 💧 Heavy downpours may cause ponding on roads and brief flooding
  • 🌙 Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of additional showers and a low around 71–73°F

If you’re headed outdoors today, keep an eye on the sky and avoid driving through water-covered roads. Remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown.

Sunday looks similar, with warm, humid conditions and another chance of afternoon thunderstorms before hotter weather arrives early next week.
