The Magee Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed Pine Belt Dyslexia Services to the community with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held Tuesday, July 28.

Chamber Executive Director Susan Walker, joined by Chamber Board of Directors member Maggie McMillian, presented owner Tim Bush with the traditional Chamber “first dollar” to symbolize the opening of his business. Bush also received a plaque recognizing Pine Belt Dyslexia Services as a member of the Magee Chamber of Commerce.

Bush brings a lifetime of service and education to his new venture. He grew up in a small town south of St. Louis, Missouri, and served 25 years in the United States Coast Guard before retiring in 2005. During his military career, he spent six years teaching at the U.S. Coast Guard Electrician’s School in Yorktown, Virginia, where he discovered his passion for teaching and helping students succeed.
