Wilma B Harper, 91 of Magee, MS passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee, MS. She was born Thursday, May 21, 1931 in Newton County, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church in Magee, MS. Bro. Don Savell and Bro. Mike Harper will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
She was preceded in death by her husband, George William Harper; son, Jeffery Harper; daughters, Betty Beckham, and Ellen Thames; father, Alton Blackburn; mother, Opal Bush Lindsey; step-father, W. J. Lindsey; step-mother, Grace Blackburn; grandchildren, Amanda Thomas, Daylyn McCraw, and Dana Holder; brother, Frank Blackburn; sisters, Betty Bishop and Evelyn Alford; great grandchild, Nathan Holder; son-in-law, Jerry Thames.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Harper (Cheryl) and Gary Harper (Kathy); daughter, Rebecca Mosley (Buddy); sixteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Peyton Barnard, Kayden Harper, Timon Kennedy, Carson Harper, Will Hutchins, and John Brown.
