Mary Lucille Walley, 93 of Taylorsville, MS passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, MS. She was born Saturday, October 29, 1932 in Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Bay Springs First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Bay Springs First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Bro. Paul Blackwell will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H (Johnny) Walley;  sons, Paul Ray Walley and Wayne  Walley;  daughters, Patricia  Blackwell and Wanda  Jernigan;  parents, James  L Sims;  and Malissa  McNeal  Sims; five brothers; one sister.

Survivors include her son, Danny Walley;  daughters, Judy Clark  (Roy), Pam  Kemp  (Billy);  grandchildren, Douglas  Blackwell  (Vanessa), Jason  Blackwell  (Angela ), Michael  Blackwell  (Tina ), Dale  Clark  (Ary), Shelly  Martin  (Waylon), Carrie Ham  (Joseph), Kristy  Jernigan  (Robby), Lacy Culpepper and Harrison  Walley; eighteen great-grandchildren; six  great-great grandchildren;  son-in-law’s, Paul  Blackwell and Tommy  Jernigan; and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Blackwell, Devon Ballard, Dale Clark, Chris Hearn, Reggie Blackwell, and Jason Blackwell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Ham.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Jasper General Nursing Home for the comfort and care provided to Mrs. Walley.
