WHOM DO YOU WORSHIP?

revkightnewIn our devotion today we will find out that if you put yourself ahead of God and think you deserve being worshiped something bad will happen to you.

Our reading today comes from Acts 12:23.  And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him because he gave not God the glory and he was eaten of worms and gave up the ghost.

Role models can be positive or negative.

Don’t put a lot of concern into what others think of you.

This scripture talks about King Herod.  How Herod set upon his throne dressed in his best.  He made a speech about how great he was and had no need for the Christian people.  His speech was so good the people he was speaking to thought he was God and he was higher than man.

Herod was stuck on himself.  Herod was smote by and angel because he did not give glory to God at all.  Herod was eaten by worms on the ground.  Today we have ministers who are eaten up by the world and can not tell people how to be saved.  Your life is made over new because of your personal experience that you and only you have with Jesus Christ.  Your name is written in Lambs Book of Life.  Have a blessed and victorious week.
