The City of Magee suffered a major water leak Tuesday, July 9, 2024, causing water shortages as well as low water pressure.

The area of the leak, behind the hospital,  ties into many water lines causing the massive outage.

According to Mayor Dale Berry, Tim Bray,  city superintendent, has six men working plus former City Superintendent Nevis Rankin has been called to assist.  Nevis was a long time employee of the City with an abundance of knowledge about the workings of the city.

Tim Bray brought in a large water pump from Jackson which did not work.

Steve Womack of Clear Water Solutions, which is contracted by the city, is also on scene.
