Walter Gayle Savage passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24th, at 7:24 a.m., leaving behind a life shaped by hard work, patience, and deep love for his family. He was a man of quiet strength, steady hands, and a calm spirit that guided everything he did.

Like his son, he believed in patience. He understood that things done in a rush were rarely done right, and he lived by the belief that taking your time mattered. Whether he was working with his hands, solving a problem, or offering guidance, he approached life with care and thoughtfulness. That patience was not only a skill, but a value he passed on to those around him.

He had a lifelong love for working and tinkering on anything that needed attention, always taking the time to do it right.

Music was another constant in his life. He loved collecting and listening to records, especially the music of Elvis, but nothing meant more to him than hearing the music of his son, Chad. Those songs brought him comfort, connection, and a sense of closeness that never faded.

Above all, he loved his family deeply. He was a devoted husband and a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. The loss of his beloved son remained close to his heart, a love that never faded and a bond that was never broken.

He showed love through presence, reliability, and consistency rather than words. His family was his greatest pride, and the lessons he lived by—patience, dedication, and love—will continue on through them.

He will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the values he taught, and the quiet, steady way he moved through life.
