Vewris David Dennis, 70, of Collins, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, in Collins, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, September 10, 1949, in Magee, Mississippi.

Graveside Service will be held Friday, March 20, 2020, at 3:30 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Bro. Larry Dennis will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Mr. Dennis was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.  He enjoyed being a part of many local auctions. David truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures.

He was preceded in death by parents, Vewris and Annie Laura Dennis; and one sister, Merle Hand.

Survivors include one daughter, Tammy Dennis Jones and Joe of Collins; one son, Michael Timothy Dennis and wife, Mary Ann of Seminary; eight grandchildren, Jessica Bradburn (Blake); Michael Dennis, Brady Tucker (Gabby), James Tucker, Jacob Dennis (Katie), Isaiah Dennis, April Summerlin (Josh), and Ashley Rawls; seven great-grandchildren, Brayden Dennis, Elizabeth Bradburn, Annie Bradburn, Liam Dennis, Bonnie Tucker, Easton Rawls, and Benjamin Summerlin; three brothers, Paul Dennis (Judy), Larry Dennis (Jane), and Daniel Dennis (Theresa); one sister, Carole Wilborn (Jimmy); a host of other family members.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Dennis, Larry Dennis, Paul Dennis, Isaiah Dennis, Jessica Bradburn, and Brady Tucker.  Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Dennis, Jimmy Wilborn, Jacob Dennis, Michael Dennis, James Tucker, and Joshua Summerlin.
