Vera Katherine Sullivan, 75 of Magee, MS passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was born Wednesday, December 15, 1948 in Mount Olive, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church of Saratoga in Mt. Olive, MS. Burial will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive, Mississippi. Bro. Gary Roberts and Matt Maddox will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Kay loved her family more than anything, especially her grandchildren. They were the joy of her life. She enjoyed just being in their company no matter what the occassion. Laughter amongst her and family often filled the air. When the weather was just right you might find them fishing under a shade tree on a pond dam. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church of Saratoga, Mississippi. She enjoyed the company of her brothers and sisters at church each Sunday. Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many, and she will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dill Eubanks; mother, Renadell Brown Eubanks; brothers, Jerrell Eubanks, Rayford Eubanks and James Eubanks; sisters, Nellie Keen, Patsy Culpepper and Ethel Duke.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Sullivan of Magee, MS; son, Tony Sullivan of Mount Olive; daughter, Candy Maddox (Matt) of Mount Olive; sisters, Trudy Reynolds of Mount Olive, Jo Barnes of Crystal Springs; grandson, Gabe Stringer of Mount Olive; granddaughters, Addison Stringer of Mount Olive and Kaydee Belle Maddox, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Mark Wallace, Marc Eubanks, Jon Eubanks, Ron Neal, Glynn Griffith, and Justin Garris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gabe Stringer.
Special music will be performed by Jane Griffith.
