Van Farley Shows, 79, of Mendenhall, died Saturday at Magee General Hospital. He was born Thursday, October 27, 1938.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Magee in Magee.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Elder Mike Sills, David Bryant and Elder Joseph Shows will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
He was preceded in death by A.L. Shows (Father), Ollie Shows (Mother), Willie Jones (Sister), M.M. Shows (Brother), A.H. Shows (Brother), Marie Shows (Sister), Johnnie Morris (Sister), Jimmie Haggerty (Sister).
Survivors include Dorris Shows (Spouse), Verna Lee and Jack Bryant (Sister), Douglas and Sandy Vanderford (Son), James and BJ Cook (Son).
