Progress is being made on the tearing down of the old middle school building on the Magee Campus.
According to Jeffrey Walker, Transportation and Maintenance Director for the Simpson County Schools, all medallions and the elevation marker were saved in the demolition of the building!
Upon complete demolition, the area will be cleaned and left as a green space at this time.
Memories coming down!
The destruction of the Old Old Magee Elementary school building has been a walk down memory lane for many former students! The tales those halls could tell! The tales teachers could tell! The tales students could tell! Sometimes watching progress can be heart wrenching! We all know that building had to go…but seeing another part of your past come crumbling down hurts!
I have enjoyed the comments people have made concerning their years at that Magee School building!
