The threat of rain and severe weather moved senior night and football game against McLaurin up an hour Friday, October 27, 2017.
The rain would hold off until after halftime. Seniors were recognized before game.
The beginning of regulation play Magee kicked off to McLaurin.
Magee forced McLaurin to punt the ball. With 9:50 left in the first quarter Magee returned an 80 yard punt to score a touchdown. The point after attempt was good and Magee led early 7-0.
With 1:27 remaining in first quarter Magee found the end zone again. The point after attempt was good. Magee led by a score of 14-0.
Second quarter would belong to the Tigers. McLaurin would score with 6:52 left on the clock in the second quarter to bring the score 14-7. Tigers again would cross the goal line to tie the game 14-14 at the half.
Third quarter Magee scored with 5:26 remaining in the third quarter to go back on top with the score Magee 21Tigers 14.
During the fourth quarter Magee would seal deal with a sixteen yard touchdown run. Magee 27, McLaurin 14.
Trojans placed third in district. The Trojans will travel Friday night to Tylertown for the first round of playoff’s.
