The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Thessalonians 4:11-12: “Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.” What wonderful, sage advice for any person in any generation. The early Christian writers were keen to remind fellow brothers and sisters of their responsibility for living lives which would reflect Christ and His vision. As Christians, we are to remember that we are a separate people, living in a sinful world. We are being watched by those around us. Be aware and stay focused on God and our covenant with Him, not with man. Amen!
