Jackson, MS.  On Saturday, September 28, staff from State Treasurer Lynn Fitch’s office will be available at the Highway 49 Festival to help area residents search the State’s unclaimed property list.

“Since I took office as Treasurer in January 2012, my office has distributed over $100 million in unclaimed property,” said Treasurer Fitch.  “This represents over 54% of all the funds distributed through the State unclaimed property program since it began in 1982.  We have been so successful thanks to partnerships with local and state elected leaders and I appreciate Mayor Sullivan inviting me to join him in helping Richland residents claim their money.”

“I encourage everyone to come out and meet with Treasurer Fitch’s unclaimed property specialists,” said Mayor Pat Sullivan.  “They helped so many people search the State’s unclaimed property list and find their money at the Highway 49 Festival last September. This is your money, Richland.  Come out and let them help you claim it.”

Unclaimed property specialists from the Treasurer’s office will be available:

Saturday, September 28, 2019
9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Highway 49 Festival
Richland Soccer Fields

Staff will be available to help people search the State’s unclaimed property list.

Individuals can always check the State’s full listing at www.treasurerlynnfitch.com to see if the State has any money in their name, as well.  It is constantly being updated.
