Travis Buffington, 76 of Braxton, MS passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 at his home in Braxton, MS. He was born Thursday, August 8, 1946 in Pinola, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall.  Burial will follow in Holly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Braxton, Mississippi. Bro. Jack Hester will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

Travis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He will greatly be missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Charles Buffington and Lois Edgar; brothers, James Jay Buffington and Danny Jo Edgar; sister, Christine Morrow.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn  Buffington  of Braxton , MS;  two sons, Travis  Lee  Buffington  (Fay) of Tennessee and Jeff Buffington  (Karen) of Byram , MS;  one daughter, Barbie  Young  (Paul ) of Raymond , MS;  four grandchildren, Travis  Lee  Buffington II (Porscha) of Texas, Bristol  Buffington  of Alabama,  Joseph  Young  of Clinton , MS and Joshua  Young  of New York; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry  Buffington  (Wanda ), John  Edgar,  Ozburn  Buffington and  Bruce  Buffington; four sisters, Nadine  Norton,  Debbie  Pickering, Ann  Gray  (Caley), and Rita  Satcher.

Pallbearers will be Paul Young, Joseph Young, Richard Harper, Dewayne McGowan, and Sterling Thomas.
