George Garrel Warren Sr., age 87, passed away on May 2, 2026, at his residence. He was born on June 5, 1938, to John Willie Warren and Oree Viola Ware in Mendenhall, MS.

From an early age, Garrel learned the value of responsibility, perseverance, and faithfulness. Those qualities remained with him throughout his life and were reflected in the way he cared for his family, tended to his work, and met each day with strength. He left behind a legacy of hard work and devotion to family.

Garrel spent his life as a farmer, and farming was more than an occupation to him. It was a way of life that shaped his days and gave him purpose. He found satisfaction in the changing of the seasons, the work of the fields, riding his tractor, and tending to his cows. He especially cherished time spent on the farm, where he could be close to the land and surrounded by the things he loved most. His commitment to hard work and his steady presence served as an example to those who knew him best.
