(September 5, 1943 – July 26, 2022

Thomas Ray Grantham, Sr., 78 of Star, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sunday, September 5, 1943, in Harrisville, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, MS.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Florence Cemetery in Florence, Mississippi. Pastor Michael Ray Lee will officiate. Special music will be performed by Mr. Steve Morris. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

Mr. Tommy was a member of Lifeline Baptist Church in Florence, Mississippi.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He enjoyed fishing, dirt track racing with his grandchildren, and most of all spending time with his family.  He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas “Buzzy” Grantham, Jr.; father, James Ray Grantham; mother, Oda Grace Brock Grantham; and brothers, Dennis Grantham and Ricky Grantham.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-one years, Barbara Morris Grantham of Star, MS; three daughters, Tara Grantham Smith (Lance) of Richland, MS, Becky Grantham Gordon (Jeff) of Star, MS and Shannon Grantham Moss (Ken) of Phoenix, AZ; nephew, Jamie Grantham (Tonia) of Booneville, MS; ten grandchildren, Molly Gordon Musgrove (Jacob) of Star, MS, Cassie Grantham (Sebastian Zigler) of Dallas, TX, Buzzy Grantham (Kimie) of Star, MS, Talon Gordon (Alivia Odom) of Star, MS, Katie Moss of Phoenix, AZ, Jake Smith of Brookhaven, MS, Travis Grantham of Booneville, MS, Maddie Grantham of Booneville, MS and Lindsay Grantham of Booneville, MS; ten great- grandchildren, Ramsey  Shine Musgrove of Star, MS, Roxanne Gordon of Star, MS, Amauri Norwood of Richland, MS, SJ Zigler of Dallas, TX, Isaiah Zigler of Dallas, TX, Chago Grantham of Star, MS, Lettie  Grantham of Star, MS, Niaomi Grantham of Star, MS, Arsenio Grantham of Star, MS and Nisa Grantham of Star, MS; seven brothers, Bobby Grantham of Lumberton, MS, Tony Grantham (Tammy) of Quinlan, TX, David Grantham (Ann) of Richland, MS, Randy Grantham (Renee) of Magee, MS and Junior Grantham (Becky) of Star, MS, Joey Grantham of Monticello, MS, and Timmy Grantham of Star, MS; three sisters, Hilda Grantham Snellgrove (Tommy) of Lumberton, MS, Darlene Grantham Smith (Fred) of Richland, MS and Teresa Grantham Baggett (Glen) of Florence, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Talon Gordon, Buzzy Grantham, Micah Grantham, Dewayne Grantham, Ethan Morris, and Tony Morris.
